Beel #2 Boiler Tube Replacement

We were engaged by one of our regular clients to carry out their annual GN3 Boiler strip, valve overhaul and tube plate survey, this identified weld cracks on the boiler tube to tube plate location which necessitated removal of several boiler tubes.  Where indicated the damaged tubes were removed from the tube plate, J preps were carried

out to facilitate the new replacement tubes which were then welded back positionally into the boiler tube plate.  Further MPI Analysis proved the integrity of the welds to the satisfaction of the insurance inspecting engineer and the boiler was rebuilt for production.
